Scope Nominated as the most valued image on Commons within the scope:
Old map of Korea
Used in Global usage
Reason Daedongyeojido("The Great Map of the East Land") is an old map of Korea, which is made in 1861. Although any of mordern survey skills were not used for this map, it is alomost simillar to modern maps. It is truly the zenith of premodern Korean cartography, and this file is the full mozaic version of it. We can read it just like Google Maps-like interactive map. Just like this.  Support : I know it's the most accurate map of Korea in old era. And all criteria met in my opinion. --Naturehead (talk) 13:55, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose I think this scope is so broad that it is impossible to choose one "best". cmadler (talk) 01:54, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Daedongyeojido is not just old map, but it has sufficient historical importance. And this file is the highest resolution in category:Old maps of Korea. ØSalamander (Talk / Contributions) 05:04, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Put aside it's historical importances and the technical things such as the resolution it has, many other maps in this scope are of Asia, not only of Korea. If you search for maps of Korean Peninsular in 19th century, and in particular made in Korea(Chosun era), you can confirm the most detailed and accurate is this one. --Naturehead (talk) 13:28, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
