However, the firing of the gun surely brings some value to the picture. I wonder whether it would be pertinent to have a "firing" subscope for one particular model of cannon. "Firing cannon" or "Firing [some family of cannons]" would probably make nice scopes, but there would be more competitors. --Eusebius (talk) 12:53, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

    •  Comment The problem I see with the other photos of mine, and others, of this gun is that the lack of human figures deprives you of a sense of scale. This image not only shows the gun, but also its size, the firing mechanism (see the friction fuze flying through the air on the end of a string) and a crew size required to operate it...all of which add value to the gun itself.
