•  Support Good portrait of Mergenthaler; his Linotype machine was one of the most important and beneficent inventions of the 19th century.  Question @Adam Cuerden There is something like posterization over his left (from the viewer: right) shoulder – small areas which are rather greenish, while the rest of the background is rather reddish. These areas are already in the original, but appear a bit more prominent in the restauration because the other defects have been removed. Can you do something about them or do you think they belong to the original print and hence should be kept? Just asking, – Aristeas (talk) 09:53, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
