  •  Info This is an illustration to Oscar Wilde's Duchess of Padua, one of the least illustrated of Oscar Wilde's plays. It's a photogravure, by the way, which is why it has a slightly dark cast over the image proper, this is normal. In some you get a dark edge around the image, showing the outline of the photogravure plate; this one doesn't, presumably because they did a better job matching edge of image to edge of plate. (it's also why I didn't crop too close: it'd be misleading not to include some of the paper, as photogravures tend to be darker than the paper) Adam Cuerden (talk) 06:16, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
