- Support This image is a good example of photographic rythm. It is a simple image with only one main subject(s) or element(s), wires and birds. An image does not necessarily need a lot of elements to be visually engaging, sometimes, as the Bauhaus movement´s mantra says, less is more. -- Tomascastelazo (talk) 15:25, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
- Support Looks like a J.S. Bach musical score... And I love J.S. Bach.--Jebulon (talk) 17:26, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
- Support I like this image, however I'd suggest cut the most right part of image so the "transformator" (or what is it) is not visible. Best regards --Chmee2 (talk) 17:49, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
- Comment Dear Chmee2, it is tough call. I left it because so the wires a a place to hang on to due to the diagonal. However, better to have it like this and have the final user crop according to need, if any. I know it is borderline... --Tomascastelazo (talk) 18:05, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose Less is indeed more: more crop. The right hand side draws the eye and is messy with cut-off-birds and the insulator and bits of pole. By all means upload the uncropped version for users to take whatever crop they want from it, but the Featured Picture should be artistically cropped imo, not just source material. I can think of three crops that are stronger:
- a wide landscape format image of the two or three horizontal wires only
- a tall portrait format, or a square format image of the three horizontal wires taken around the left third or so
- a square format image involving the crossing wires (these may require the odd half-bird to be cloned).
- Of these my favourite is a square crop starting at 183x215 of 2084x2084 size. This has strong diagonal elements (top-left, bottom right) and emphasizes the vertical repeat of the wires and the horizontal repeat of the birds, without any mess off to the left. I'm out of time to upload this tonight but suggest it be considered. Colin (talk) 19:41, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
- Colin, well, give it a shot... I will in the meantime look for other pics I took that day and maybe overwrite. Regards, --Tomascastelazo (talk) 04:50, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
- I've added three crops, done as lossless crops without cloning out any birds. I'll abstain from voting on the crops. Colin (talk) 20:56, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

- Comment I prefer a careful removal of everything except the three wires and birds on them without much cropping. JKadavoor Jee 08:37, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
- Support This is a beautiful photograph. There can be so many wonderful crops of the image as suggested above, but I think this photograph very well composed as well. Will be interesting to see the alternatives, if any. -- ~y (talk) 10:48, 14 April 2013 (UTC)

- Oppose the crop, the light, the composition. I'm missing some featured parts. --Alchemist-hp (talk) 00:52, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
- Comment I think there's definitely a crop here that is FP-worthy, but I'd like to see the alternatives before choosing where to cast my vote. --99of9 (talk) 04:30, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
- Support Very interesting. --Earth100 (talk) 05:08, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

- Support Hilarious, cute, and I like the right side, it ties everything together, keeps the mystery of where those birds are "going" to a minimum. – Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 02:14, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
